Welcome to our latest Supersize Sponsor – Redwood Wholefoods
We are thrilled to announce that the esteemed and fabled Redwood Wholefoods, one of the world’s biggest and most innovative vegan manufacturers, has chosen to sponsor the first ever Brighton Vegan Fayre. This is particularly fitting because Redwood also sponsored the first ever Bristol Vegan Fayre back in 2003!!! And look where that one’s gone!! So a huge and heartfelt thanks to this superb vegan outfit that has once again demonstrated an enormous show of support for our efforts to promote the best of the vegan lifestyle at these events. Welcome aboard, Redwood Wholefoods, and take a richly deserved bow.
Redwood’s vegan product range reads like a dream and includes a magnificent vegan cheese range called Cheezly which includes the years-in-the-making super Melting Cheezly range which comes in 4 flavours – Mozzarella, Cheddar, Gouda and Edam. The Mozzarella especially is outrageously supreme with a sublime texture and completely cheesy taste and feel to it – and best of all it melts like a dream and so makes all those things like pizzas, lasagnes and even cheese on toast completely within the realms of the vegan diet, which is awesome. Redwood also have a stunning ‘fake’ meat range called Cheatin’ which is most meat like and top for those especially who are looking to reduce the meat and dairy intake, or who are making the transition to the veggie vegan diet, as well as established veggie/vegans. Brilliant for kids too, innovative, tasty and appealing, and sensibly priced – and importantly, easily available too. In fact Redwoods have recently been putting a lot of energy into getting their products into other countries and often are the only vegan option available, thereby reaching out to a whole new generation of veggie vegan lifestyle choicemakers on a global level! Now that is some of the most seriously effective vegan campaigning anyone could ever come up with and Redwood remain at the helm of steering the vegan meal option worldwide.
Renowned for its compassion and rated highest in the Ethical Company Organisation’s list of ethical vegetarian food suppliers, Redwood produces nearly 50 different natural plant-based foods, all free from lactose, cholesterol, hydrogenated fats, artificial colours/preservatives, GMOs and animal ingredients.

Supersize Sponsors - Big Up Bute Island!!!
A vast and heartfelt thanks to our first Supersize sponsors for the Brighton Vegan Fayyare - vegan sheese makers Bute Island. This wonderful bunch from the divine Isle of Bute in Scotland have once again backed us to the hilt in the form of a Supersize sponsorship. Their ecstatic range of vegan products has thrilled visitors to Bristol for several years and now Brighton is in for the same treat as the Bute Island team descend upon town armed with loads of free samples of their wondrous sheese range - both the 'Creamy' and the 'Hard' varieties, in a arrange of flavours and well priced too! www.buteisland.com
We heartily recommend you give the Sheese range a try - many people who are going vegan say they find it hard to give up cheese, well now you don't have too, you can just replace with Sheese! With so many textures and flavours its hard not to find one that's doesn't suit, and one of the joys of a show like the Brighton (and Bristol) vegan fayres is that visitors can get to taste the many different varieties on offer, and then buy some usually at a special discount price, so it really is an excellent way to wean yourself off dairy if you are a vegetarian or omnivore, or to expand your horizons if you are already vegan!
As you can see from the article below, it's not just the vegan aspect that makes the Sheese range so attractive - it's the taste too! The Bute Island range has recently been awarded a gold 'Great taste Award 08' which is a stunning achievement from this wondrous outfit!
You can get Sheese products in loads of different places now, including not only the Independent Health stores but also supermarkets and other multiples, making Sheese accessible to nearly every part of the UK. Big Up the Bute Island Clan!! Marvellous!!

Infinity
Gorge outfit on the south coast that ships untold volume of vegan goodies and groceries across the UK, mainly in the South East and London. Famed for their Fair trade and Organic produce as well as their veggie and vegan selections, Infinity are truly one of the pioneers of the Natural Products Trade from ‘back in the day' and have been flying the colours ever since. They have a huge warehouse just outside Brighton that supplies the Distribution end of the firm, and they also have both a retail outlet and also a juice bar/café of the same name in Brighton City Centre. Infinity have been most excellent in their support over the years for our ventures and are most appreciated for their support once again in the form of a Large Sponsorship! Thanks boys and girls, it's been emotional www.infinityfoods.co.uk
The Vegan Society
Coming up to celebrating 65 years in November 09, the Vegan Society has never looked so good, with a stable Council to guide the ever willing team of staff through the perils and challenges of establishing the vegan lifestyle as the lifestyle of choice for generations to come. Not all the society's work goes unnoticed, and they have made in particular most excellent progress in helping establishments especially like Prisons, Hospitals, Schools and Universities get a decent grasp of the basics of vegan nutrition and catering. Recently moved location to Birmingham and now nicely settled the society continues to support loads of grass roots vegan activities as well as producing a very tidy quarterly magazine that highlights the best of the vegan lifestyle in style! Never shy to support the efforts of others, the Society remains at the heart of the vegan community and we hope will continue to flourish for years to come!! For details on how to join the Society or get involved in any way, see www.vegansociety.com
Plamil
Started life back in the 60's, making Plamil the longest running and most successful vegan business ever. With a factory in Kent, Plamil continue to develop cutting egde vegan products as they always have done, whilst supplying some of their basics like their complete Soya Milk range, and one of the most excellent vegan chocolate ranges imaginable. Add to this other groundbreaking products such as their vegan mayonnaises and it's easy to see why this adorable outfit remain a firm fave throughout the vegan community and beyond. Plamil are also supporters of many vegan events and projects, and probably knowing them a lot more than they let on, because with this firm the age old ingredients of modesty, humbleness, politeness, old fashioned good manners and a bit of love are mixed together with their sublime products and policies to redefine the 21st century ethical business. Where Plamil treads, others follow, and we are once again truly grateful for their presence and support at our first ever Brighton Vegan Fayre. Cheers Drive, gert lush!!!. www.plamilfoods.co.uk
Off The Hoof
Brand new vegan veggie lifestyle magazine Off The Hoof started life in November 08 when the first issue hit the streets amid a wave of controversy as vegan characters like Al Slurry (vegan pub landlord), Maz The Gob (having a Rant and Rave), DJ Doofer (the reluctant vegan), Super Kazza and Large Tone descended into our back yard for the first time. With an appalling jokes page and shocking usage of the word ‘twat' at least more than once, the first issue has quickly become a collectors item, and with issue Two out Feb 1st featuring an investigation into Palm Oil, an undercover report into Greyhound Racing, plus an interview with Macka B, as well as full preview of the Brighton Vegan Fayre, Off The Hoof has already taken a new direction and ditched the poor jokes in favour of some classic reportage of matters more interesting than some of the drivel in issue 1. For those with a sense of humour as well as curiosity, Off the Hoof will remain a firm fave and must have read as it appears every 3 months (Feb 1st, May 1st, Aug 1st and Nov 1st 09), and for those who suffer from HUYOA syndrome (Head up your own....work it out) the magazine will undoubtedly continue to shock, outrage and offend. Published by Yaoh, see www.offthehoof.co.uk for more details.
