Entertainment
The Brighton Vegan Fayre is about entertainment as much as anything - and the first show boasts not one not two but THREE separate stages for the day, including a Kids stage and a Campaigners stage as well as the Main Stage. The acts vary from music through performance to poetry and guarantee that visitors of all ages will be inspired by our entertainers.

The King Blues – up and coming straight outta London and hot as they come, this 3 piece is getting scores of accolades from all quarters wherever they play, including a UK tour for The Big Issue this spring. Their 2008 album Save the World Get the Girl was undoubtedly one of the best albums of the year and includes the memorable track Lets hang the Landlord. The organisers of the Brighton Vegan Fayre are looking forward to this set more than any! Check their myspace page to hear some of the 21st century classics from this soon – to – be – massive trio of near legends – The King Blues

SohoDolls – with two band members and the manager all vegan, it was hard to resist this band, and one stop at their myspace page was enough to convince us that we really wanted this outrageous London band to play the Brighton Fayre. Mixing glam with pop to a mesmeric effect, SohoDolls will perform a short set at Brighton - a gothic-punk fairytale? burlesque? glam-cabaret? futuro-electro dickensian terrordome?
ladies and gentleman – the elusive, the enigmatic, the indefinable - Sohodolls!

Mark from The Levellers - Mark Chadwick has been singing with The Levellers since the beginning way back in the 80’s and is still one of the finest voices of his generation – and still performs to the highest level, with a mixture of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue’ in his extensive repertoire. With a mountain of hugely talented friends in Brighton where he lives, including several members of the Levs, its likely that there will be a few ‘special guests’ joining Mark on stage at what could well be the highlight of the show
The Clive Palmer Band
including the legendary co - founder member of The Incredible String Band
The Clive Palmer Band - including legendary co - founder member of The Incredible String Band Mr Clive Palmer - is set to play the Brighton Vegan Fayre! The Incredible String Band were one of the most creative and influential original 60's bands, and even played Woodstock! And now Clive Palmer, the Co - founder of this cult status outfit, is back on the road with his own band, and ready to play at the Brighton Vegan Fayre this year.
Macka B
Jamaican Reggae artist Macka B has honoured us greatly by agreeing to play! Greetings Macka B!!
Fresh from his headline appearance at the Internationally renowned St Paul's Carnival in Bristol last summer, Macka B showcases his new vegan friendly single ‘Wha Me Eat' during two performances at Brighton, including a short appearance in the Campaigns Room as well as a full acoustic set on the Main Stage. Truly a vegan champion as well as a master songwriter, Macka B and his band will bring a touch of magic and sunshine vibes to the whole occasion and we are truly blessed by his appearance! Greetings, Macka B, true reggae legend in da house! www.mackab.com
Robb Johnson
Robb is a singer songwriter with a deep interest in the vegan lifestyle and has kindly agreed to play at the first ever Brighton Vegan Fayre March 21st, with 3 short sets in the Campaigns Room, Kids Area & The Main Stage. Rob is Brighton based (well, Hove actually) and is guaranteed to draw a large crowd! In his own words...
"I've played the London Vegan Festival (this year they kindly said i was the - ahem - headliner) & released an album with Ethical Wares called "MaximumRespect" (Irr047) entirely focussed on animal rights / vegan issues...I've been vegan for 19 years...and I have a new album out too..."
